Who's Speaking? - Jacqueline Duan

Who’s Speaking? questions the role and transformation of the voice in our technologically-advanced age. Here, the voice is seen as not only a vocal instrumental but also as an object of freedom. The design of the book aims to elevate the argument of the author on the slow and invisible replacement of human voice by automated technology. Through the use of sanitised corporate aesthetics, I sought to depict the effect of technological automation on human relations as well as to revisit familiar virtual spaces of dialogue to stage the rise of a new form of communications., one which is binary, disembodied and thus - voiceless.
